PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT SEKITAR PETERNAKAN: “STUDI KASUS BAROKAH FARM DI KECAMATAN SALO KABUPATEN KAMPAR”

Abstrak

Livestock is one of the sub-sectors in the agricultural sector which makes a significant contribution to the Indonesian economy. The purpose of this study was to find out how the perceptions of the surrounding community towards laying hen farming companies "Barokah Farm" is viewed from the social, economic and environmental aspects. The research was conducted on the month November - December 2022 in Salo District, Regency of Kampar. Primary data was collected by conducting in-depth interviews with 55 community respondents around Barokah Farm. The observed variables include the characteristics of the respondents, Perceptions of Respondents on social, economic and environmental aspects. The characteristics of the respondents observed included gender and level of education. The results showed that the respondents were dominated by female gender (60%) and have high school educational background (43.64%). Respondents perceptions of the existence of Barokah Farm are: social aspects 1047 (agreed); economic aspect 769 (neutral); and environmental aspect 1551 (agreed). The conclusion of the research is that the existence of Barokah Farm has a good impact on the community around the livestock business. Management of waste management from well-managed production activities, in addition, that the negative impact felt by the surrounding community is quite minimal.
