HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP GIZI IBUTERHADAP KEBIASAAN KONSUMSI BUAH DANSAYUR PADA ANAK BALITA DI POSYANDU CERIA KELURAHAN TARATAK PADANG KAMPUANG

Abstrak

Vegetables and fruits must be consumed at every meal, not only by adults but also for children. The importance of consuming vegetables and fruits is still not realized by Indonesian people. Consumption of fruits and vegetables for children can be affected by the mother's nutritional knowledge and attitudes. This study aimed to determine the correlation of mothers' nutrition knowledge and attitude to fruits and vegetables consumption behavior of preschoolers at Posyandu Ceria Taratak Padang Kampuang Village. This study used a cross sectional design with 40 respondents obtained by total sampling technique. The results showed that more than half of the mothers (55%) had moderate knowledge and there were still a small proportion of mothers (10%) who had low nutritional knowledge. The results showed that 55% mothers had a good nutritional attitude and there were no mothers having low nutritional attitude (0%). The results of fruit and vegetable consumption showed that 50% of preschoolers consumed fruits and vegetables in the low category, and the rest of preschoolers consumed fruits and vegetables in the sufficient category. The results showed that there was no correlation of mothers' nutrition knowledge and attitude to fruit and vegetable consumption behavior of preschoolers at Posyandu Ceria Taratak Padang Kampuang Village (P-value > 0,05). The result concluded that there was no correlation of mothers' nutrition knowledge and attitude to fruit and vegetable consumption behavior of preschoolers at Posyandu Ceria Taratak Padang Kampuang Village.
