Leaf litter and sawdust are types of solid organic waste that have the potential to be used as the raw materials for compost production. This research aims to determine the chemical properties of leaf litter compost and sawdust compost. The study was conducted at the Training and Community Development Center (BPPM) of a plantation company located in Siak Regency, Riau Province. The research took place from November 2022 to February 2023. The study utilized a pre-experimental design method with a one-shot case study design and compared the results with the SNI 2004 standard to assess the chemical quality of both types of compost. The parameters examined included pH, total N content, total P content, total K content, organic C content, and the C/N ratio. The research findings revealed that the leaf litter compost met the compost standard for pH, organic C, total N, total P, and total K parameters, but did not meet the compost standard for the C/N ratio parameter. Furthermore, the sawdust compost met the compost standard for pH, total N, total P, and total K parameters, but did not meet the compost standard for organic C and C/N ratio parameters.Downloads
