HUBUNGAN BERAT BADAN LAHIR RENDAH (BBLR) DAN PENGETAHUAN GIZI IBU TERHADAP KEJADIAN STUNTING PADA BALITA DI KELURAHAN PUJUD SELATAN

Abstract

Stunting is one of the nutritional problems that has a negative impact on the toddlers quality of life in achieving optimal growth and development according to their age. Some of the factors that affect stunting are Low Birth Weight (LBW) and maternal nutrition knowledge. Children who have been stunted since childhood will cause problems in slow motor development and the level of intelligence in children decreases compared to toddlers who are not stunted. The aim of this research was to analyze the corelation LBW and maternal nutritional knowledge to stunting incidence in South Pujud Village. This research was conducted in December 2022. The design of this research was a cross-sectional study with purposive sampling. The total respondents in this research were 74 mothers who have toddlers aged 0-59 months. The result showed that 27,0% todders had a history of LBW, 39,2% mothers with less knowledge and 29,7% toddlers were stunted.chi-square analysis showed that there was a significant corelation between LBW and maternal nutrition knowledge to stunting incidence in toddler in south Pujud village (p<0.005).
